About SONY SUZUKI Sony Suzuki is an artist who moved to the United States in 1996, living in Brooklyn, NY, before establishing a base in Tokyo in 2001. His works, under the theme of "Youth Paintings," depict figures that evoke a wide range of emotions in the viewer, despite often lacking facial expressions or displaying vacant stares. These figures transcend gender boundaries, celebrating a free, uninhibited way of life akin to rock stars. Though the style may seem relaxed at first glance, the characters embody a strong will, and the scenes are full of energy and vibrancy, like music in motion.
